It really bothers me when people get super upset about rights violations or activist judges or the desecration of our Constitution…
…and the only reason they are doing so is because they don’t have a clue about what our Constitution actually says about anything. So you have to explain to them things that they should have learned in a social studies or history class at some point, like “there is nothing in the Constitution that says only Christians can choose where to build their religious buildings” or “the Constitution created three branches of government for a reason, not just because they think a group of dudes (and dudettes) in black robes is awesome.” And for the record, I went to a crappy public school in the backwoods of Texas, so if I learned this in school, then I know the vast majority of people in this country did, too, so there’s not really an excuse for so many people being so ignorant.
Oh, and then when these people do find out about some part of the Constitution they don’t like (everything but the 2nd and 10th amendment, usually, but more specifically the 14th amendment), they’re suddenly all like, “Yeah, but that’s not AMURRIKA, and that’s not what the founders intended [even if that is exactly what the founders intended] so we should just get rid of it because it’s not pro-white Christians.”
The Constitution and Founding Fathers: only relevant or important when they can be used to prove that white Christians have the right to fuck over everyone else. To be disregarded when the documents/people prove to contain rules or beliefs that are contradictory to those of Real Amurrikans.
